Our little boy Theo had open-heart surgery at Alder Hey, and the care, skill and kindness we received was on another level. They didn’t just fix his heart. They carried us through one of the hardest moments of our lives with compassion, calm and absolute professionalism.

Now he’s home, recovering like the stubborn little warrior he is, and I want to give something back. So I’ve signed up for the Alder Hey Mascot Race to help raise funds for the hospital that gave our family a future.
