TransAmerica Bike Race · 7 June 2026

We are My Name'5 Doddie Foundation and we're absolutely committed to our goal: A World Free of MND. We will leave no stone unturned in the relentless pursuit of this goal as we fund, guide and enable the smartest, most efficient MND research to catalyse a cure for motor neuron disease.

Story

https://www.rideyrbike.com/TABNS2026

The TransAmerica Bike Race is an epic ultra-endurance adventure like few others. Cycling, fully self-sufficient across the United States, self-navigating, via 3 virtual checkpoints, for no prizes - this is rightly considered one for the crazies!

To motivate donations, Springbank Distillery have agreed to provide a few of their whiskies as a prize - if you can correctly guess my finish time to the Lincoln Memorial.

-1 guess per £10 donation (excl. gift aid)

-Write your guess (DD-HH-MM) in donation comments. Race clock per TABNS2026 tracker link above

-Collection only, from Mid Argyll or Glasgow 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

-Entry closes when I reach DC city limits

-Closest guess wins

-Fundraising total below £1500: Campbeltown Loch (1Bt). Total £1500-2500: CL & Springbank 5yr 100Proof (2Bts). Total over £2500: CL & Springbank 5yr & Kilkerran 12yr (3Bts).

Key Route Information:

Start: Astoria, Oregon - June 7th, 6am

Checkpoint 1: Mitchell, Oregon

Checkpoint 2: Moran, Wyoming (The coldest place in the continental US)

Checkpoint 3: Choice of 5 bridges across the Mississippi River

Finish: Washington DC. Approx 3,200miles

(Return flight: July 4th)

In memory of Eric Fishbein and John Egbers who were tragically killed in 2017 & 2018, respectively, while cycling the TransAmerica Bike Race. In memory of David Blumenthal, Mike Hall, Frank Simons, and Chris Barker who were killed in other ultra-endurance cycling races: Tour Divide, TransContinental, and Indian-Pacific Wheel Race. We as an ultra-cycling community continue to live our ordinary lives, but we do not forget those who paid the ultimate price to be a part of it. Share the road.
