The Student Living Sailing Regatta was launched in 2023 by GSA and its parent company The Dot Group with the objective of bringing together key stakeholders within the sector to facilitate collaboration, so that together we can have a greater impact.

The event raises money for two charities that support young people and provide opportunities for personal and professional development:

• Reading Real Estate’s Pathways to Property programme

• Tall Ships Youth Trust

GSA liaises directly with Pathways to Property to manage their donations. This page makes donations directly to Tall Ships Youth Trust.

Tall Ship Youth Trust is a youth development charity that helps young people aged 12-25 to redefine their horizons through transformational adventures at sea.

The charity operates out of ports in leading university cities in the UK and Ireland, providing young people with experiences that enable them to develop a range of skills, which can be transferred to their day-to-day lives to help them overcome any barriers and thrive.

Participants work as a team, growing in confidence and self-esteem and see a significant improvement in their communication and leadership skills.

The money raised by the Student Living Sailing Regatta in 2023 funded a voyage of exploration for 10 young people, giving them the opportunity to access sailing and change their lives at sea.
