The Talent Tap is a charity with a mission to drive social mobility by providing talented school leavers from low social mobility areas with the training, work experience, networks and confidence they need to succeed.

Story

The UK's specialist PBSA investment agents are getting together to form a cycle challenge around Richmond Park in London to raise awareness and donations for The Talent Tap charity.

WHO  The Talent Tap are a social mobility charity committed to supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds and social mobility coldspots, guiding them into employment.

WHAT  The Talent Tap works with the business community to offer students a 4 year programme of support comprising work experience packages, mentoring, essential employability skills development and a network and connections. Our programme introduces them to employers and equips them with the tools they need to thrive in their future careers.

WHY  TALENT IS EVERYWHERE / OPPORTUNITY IS NOT. The students at The Talent Tap face significant barriers to accessing opportunities, including social isolation, geographic constraints, and a lack of financial resources. These challenges hinder their ability to reach their full potential and pursue their goals. The Talent Tap breaks down these barriers creating a more equitable environment for students to thrive. Put simply students would not be able to access opportunities without The Talent Tap’s help.

HOW  The PBSA sector have the power to tangibly unlock the doors to equitable employment opportunities for Talent Tap Students. Through either giving access to accommodation or funding accommodation directly the industry will enable The Talent Tap to deliver our life changing residential work experience programmes and make summer internship placements more accessible. This is just the beginning. Beyond accommodation, the sector has the scope to open its doors to talented, socially diverse future employees. Partnering with the Talent Tap to support with work experience and employability skills programmes will add social value to your organisations and propel the industry into becoming a more socially diverse environment.
