Sudan Emergency Appeal

Nazia Khanam is raising money for one nation
One Nation is a UK-based relief and development charity which has continued to support local and international relief projects to help improve lives.

Story

The people of Sudan are living through a genocide just as the people of Gaza are and have been for the last 2 years.

Over 150,000 people have been killed in Sudan with an additional 2,000 people killed in Al-Fasher last week and on the one day alone.

Although Sudan may have only just become ‘newsworthy’ in recent weeks, the injustice and oppression has been taking place for decades, and had led to the UN stating that the country are facing the ‘world’s worst humanitarian crisis’.

30.4 million people (including over 16 million children) are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance, 25 million people are facing famine, and 12 million people are internally displaced, as the ‘war’ rages on with innocent men, women, and children being persecuted.

One Nation are on the ground (as they are all year around) providing urgently needed emergency aid to the families in Khartoum, Port Sudan and South Sudan, as well as aiding those refugees that are fleeing to Chad and Uganda.

The teams are now fortunately also able to provide additional aid, and more than just the food parcels that I had initially raised funds for and you had all donated towards in July as part of the ‘Sudan Emergency Appeal’, hence I hope that with your kind support that we can continue to answer their call and provide the Sudanese people with:

- Warm Meals: £1

- Qur’ans: £3

- Baby Milk: £10

- Hygiene Kits: £10

- Abayas: £10

- Food Parcels: £30

- Medical Aid Packs: £50

Please do donate if you are able to do so on this blessed day Jumu’ah (which is of course the best day of the week to give in sadaqah), even if it is just the £2 (that is the minimum amount that can be donated on JustGiving), as no amount is ever too small when given purely for the sake of Allah(swt).

“The Muslim is a brother to another Muslim. He does not wrong him or surrender him. Whoever fulfils the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfil his needs. Whoever relieves a Muslim from distress, Allah will relieve him from distress on the day of resurrection.” (Bukhari) ❤️

Thank you so much for all of your unwavering commitment to aiding the ummah during emergency appeals as such that have taken place all around the world over the course of the last six years; JazakumuAllahu Khairan.

NB: This appeal is Zakat eligible and should you wish to donate towards a specific form of aid then please do state this at the time of making your donation in the comment’s section.
