Sue’s fundraiser for Motor Neurone Disease Association

Sue Curry is raising money for Motor Neurone Disease Association

Team: The Curry Crew Running for MNDA

Great West Run Half Marathon 2026 · 24 May 2026 ·

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

Last year, everything changed for our family when Nigel was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

MND is a cruel condition that affects the nerves controlling movement, gradually causing muscle weakness and loss of mobility. It has no cure and no single test so diagnosis can take a long time, adding to the uncertainty families face.

Despite this, Nigel continues to show incredible positivity and bravery, inspiring us every single day.

On 24th May 2026, we will be running the Great West Half Marathon, me for my husband and Kate and Amy running for their Dad. We are determined to do something positive and to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).

The MNDA provides vital support and care for people living with MND and their families. They provide practical help, specialist equipment and expert information, as well as emotional guidance. They also fund vital research into new treatments and, one day, a cure.

Every donation means the world to us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts💙
