Story

As my 70th birthday approaches, the time has come to tackle the remaining of my three UK peaks - Ben Nevis!

Husband Steve and experienced hiking companion George have agreed to come along and it's George's idea that we attempt the lesser known route, over the Carn Mor Deag Arete.

Having a friend who served in the Armed Forces and still carries the invisible wounds, I have learned so much more about how our veterans can suffer mentally as well as physically. Through them I have come to learn about the amazing work of Service Dogs UK who train and provide assistance dogs to support veterans with PTSD - and not just veterans from the Armed Forces but also from all the Emergency Services.

Because they use dogs from rescue centres, your donation will not only help veterans but also save dogs and improve the lives of both. Do please go to their website and watch the video "Changing Lives Two at a Time".

It's truly a fantastic cause!

Thank you!
