Sue's fundraiser for Brent Foodbank

Sue Davison is raising money for Brent Foodbank

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026 · 12 April 2026 ·

Brent Foodbank needs to raise £50k by July to continue supporting the 1,500 people who rely on us each month. We provide emergency food, plus vital support and advice. If 500 people give £100, we can secure this essential service & ensure those struggling to afford food still have somewhere to turn.

Story

In April 2026, I will be taking on the challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money for Brent Foodbank which I volunteer at both as a van driver collecting food donated to supermarkets, and also at our food parcel distribution sessions. Thank you so much in advance for donating. It really will make a massive difference.

Brent Foodbank supports people in our local community who are facing financial hardship and struggling to afford essentials. They provide 3-day food parcels, financial inclusion services, access to additional support services and a welcoming environment largely facilitated by a team of wonderful volunteers. Right now, more individuals and families are being pushed into crisis by rising living costs, insecure work, and unexpected life events. According to the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, over 5 million households have skipped meals because they cannot afford food. In 2025, Brent Foodbank fed over 240 people every week, with more than 1/4 of these being children. Donations ensure that the foodbank can keep its shelves stocked and continue supporting those who need it most. Every contribution, big or small, makes a real difference. Thank you for helping me support Brent Foodbank and our local community.
