Story
Children’s Heartbeat Trust is a local charity in Northern Ireland providing practical, emotional and financial support to children and young people living with congenital heart disease (CHD). They work closely with the paediatric cardiology team at Clark Clinic in the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children to ensure that children and their families receive the best care, treatment and support possible.
This is Rachael and Jake’s story-
The Children’s Heartbeat Trust have personally helped us over the last 5 1/2 years through support calls, transport for surgery costs, family fun days, toys and games for Clark Clinic and medical equipment at home to save Jake from having to stay in hospital. Over 200 babies are born each year in Northern Ireland with CHD. They help support families of children that need heart surgery and have to travel to Dublin and England.
They do not receive any government funding and are reliant on voluntary donations to fund their services. Every donation is greatly appreciated.
