Running the Loch Ness Marathon for SAMH
On 27th September, I'll be taking on the challenge of running the Loch Ness Marathon to raise money for SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health), Dreams' chosen charity partner.
As I'll be running one of Scotland's most iconic marathons, it felt especially fitting to support a Scottish charity that does such important work. Mental health affects so many people, whether personally or through friends, family and colleagues. SAMH works tirelessly to provide support, raise awareness and champion positive mental health across Scotland, making a real difference to countless lives.
My marathon training has officially kicked off, and over the coming months I'll be clocking up the miles, pushing through the challenges and preparing for what will be one of my biggest personal achievements. There will no doubt be some early mornings, sore legs and moments when I question my sanity, but knowing I'm raising money for such a worthwhile cause will keep me moving forward.
I won't be tackling the journey alone. Beddie, the familiar face of Dreams, will be joining me along the way, helping to document the training highs and lows and keeping me company as the miles build up. Together, we'll share our progress towards the start line and, hopefully, the finish line too!
The Loch Ness Marathon is famous for its spectacular scenery and challenging route through the Scottish Highlands. While the views may help distract me from the hills, it'll be the thought of supporting SAMH and everyone who benefits from its work that will keep me motivated when the going gets tough.
If you're able to support me with a donation, no matter how big or small, I would be incredibly grateful. Every pound raised will help SAMH continue its vital work supporting mental health and wellbeing across Scotland.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and for supporting me on this adventure. Please follow Beddie and me as we train, tackle the miles and work towards crossing the Loch Ness Marathon finish line on 27th September.
Thank you for your generosity, encouragement and support.
Sue & Beddie 🏃♀️🐻💙
