On Sunday 26th April 2026 I shall be running the iconic London Marathon for Brain Tumour Research in memory of Fin Church.

After running my first marathon in 2025, this being Manchester, I knew I wanted to run the London Marathon. After being unsuccessful in the ballot then a charity place would be my route, but this still proved so difficult. I needed to run for a charity that meant something to me, and then my conversation happened with Penny Church.

Penny & Wayne Church are the parents of Kenzie (one of our son Ethan’s best mates), Tiggy and Fin. Fin sadly passed away 10yrs ago aged 11. Fin would have been 21 this year. Penny & Wayne hosted the most amazing charity ball in May 2025 to celebrate Fin’s heavenly 21st bday, my family and I attended, it was an amazing evening and really touched our hearts deeply.

The Church’s have raised a phenomenal amount of money over the years through fundraising and I wanted to give back and help such a wonderful charity. I cannot express how honoured I am to have this special charity place, to be running for such an inspirational family and to be running in memory of Fin who was an inspiration of his own ❤️
