"It's always hard to know what to say when incredible people do incredible things to honour our charity's work and my beautiful little boy. We have seen, heard and felt emotions that no human should have to see, hear or feel but that's our world and we have no choice.
Knife crime is sadly on the increase in this country, growing 5% year on year in the last 10 years and that has to change. The moment we were told we would have to switch off Charlie's life support machine I made my little boy the most important promise of my life and that was to ensure that everyone knew who he was and that other families would not have to receive the news we received on the evening of Monday 24th July last year. As a new charity we rely on support and fundraising from the community and have been blown away by the love we've received from the whole of Godalming and surrounding areas.
The 12 dips of Christmas is another fine example of great people coming together to raise funds, but more importantly, to remember Charlie Cosser our beautiful little boy.
Christmas used to be such a happy time in our family, full of laughter, friendship and love but sadly that's changed forever.
I do, however, believe through our own horrendous experiences, that trying to find an area of focus, something out of your comfort zone ( I've recently visited two prisons and spoken to some hardened criminals in for knife crime murder) can really help with mental health, balance and perspective in life so what better way could there possibly be than jumping into freezing cold water.
On behalf of myself (Martin)💙, Tara💙, Adam💙, Charlie💙Eloise and the Charity, thank you for your caring💙"
