Woodbridge to Felixstowe charity walk for Emmaus

Charlotte Davey is raising money for Emmaus Suffolk

charity walk · 6 October 2025

Emmaus Suffolk is a charity which works with vulnerable, socially isolated or long-term unemployed people and those at risk of homelessness across Ipswich & Felixstowe. We'd love you to take on a fundraising challenge to help enable and empower local people.

Story

We're walking 17 miles from Woodbridge to Felixstowe to raise funds for Emmaus, supporting people to rebuild their lives after homelessness.

The team from the Woodbridge branch (Alice, Jack, Lottie, Izzy, Freya and Amy) of Suffolk Building Society are lacing up our walking shoes and trekking nearly 17 miles from our Woodbridge branch to the Felixstowe branch all in support of our amazing charity partner, Emmaus.

Emmaus provides life-changing support for people who have experienced homelessness, offering not only a safe place to live but also meaningful work, training and the opportunity to regain confidence and independence. Their work helps people rebuild their lives with dignity and hope for the future.

By waking this distance together, we want to raise vital funds and awareness for Emmaus so they can continue providing their essential services.

We would be incredible grateful for any support you can give. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference to those who need it most.

Thank you for helping us go the extra mile - or in our case, seventeen!
