Story
EIP Suffolk are fundraising for our next Adventure Therapy expedition. We are taking part in a five day residential adventure in North Wales in September 2026. We will be climbing over 3,000 ft to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), gorge scrambling, rock climbing, coasteering and learning bushcraft survival skills.
EIP Suffolk support service users, aged 14 - 65, who have experienced an episode of psychosis. Adventure Therapy can be a key part of people's recovery journeys and a way of rebuilding confidence and resilience that is often lost to psychosis.
In 2024, we undertook a "Voyage To Recovery" sailing Adventure Therapy, sailing 208 miles from Ipswich to Portsmouth on a 22m+ sailing yacht, where we are able to see the positive impact Adventure Therapy can have.
“After coming back from it, I've realised … that anything is possible and not to shy away from any challenges because you think it's too hard for you… I'm going to take that forward” – a participant in EIP Suffolk 2024 Adventure Therapy
