Our beautiful boy Loco was lost to cancer at the age of just five years old. He fought incredibly hard, and thanks to the team at North Downs Specialist Referrals (NDSR), we were blessed with six more happy, loving months with him while he underwent chemotherapy. Loco was truly everything to us.

The specialist care and compassion Loco received at NDSR was nothing short of incredible. However, even the best veterinary specialists can only do so much with the treatments and knowledge currently available.To give future dogs a better chance, we need more advanced research and scientific studies into canine cancer. But breakthroughs require funding.

That is why I have decided to run the Bath Half Marathon in March 2027. I am raising money for The Kennel Club Charitable Trust, an organisation that has been doing vital work since 1987 to fund exactly this kind of life-saving canine research.

We lost Loco far too early. In his memory, I want to help fund the breakthroughs and cures of tomorrow so that other families don't have to say goodbye so soon.
