Story
I'm thrilled to be participating in The Myton Hospices - Skydive 25 - April Weekend to help raise funds for their invaluable work. Our goal is to raise £30,000 through this exhilarating skydiving event, and with your generous support, I am confident we can achieve it! The Myton Hospices provide dedicated care and support for individuals with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families, both in their inpatient beds and within the community. Their unwavering commitment to raising £11 million this year is crucial for continuing this vital mission. They rely on the support of compassionate individuals like you and me to make it possible.
In 2023, my cousin Charlotte was diagnosed with terminal cancer at the age of 38 and received exceptional care at Coventry Myton Hospice for six whole months. It was a time marked by compassion, love, fulfilling wishes and preserving dignity.
The team at the hospice made those last six months the best they could possibly be in the circumstances. Charlotte's bucket list was to merely spend as much time with her family and friends and the hospice staff made this happen. Nothing was too much - arranging early birthday celebrations, creating her last magical Christmas, allowing a tattoo artist to set up for the day for group tattoos.
We will be forever grateful to the staff and volunteers for supporting the family for those six months and beyond.
