Summer Sixes Charity Tournament for True Colours Theatre

Robert Brown is raising money for True Colours Theatre

Charity Football Tournament · 20 June 2026

True Colours Theatre is a registered charity providing fully inclusive performance sessions. This is a place where children and young adults can grow in confidence without any stigma or difference. We provide sessions for all backgrounds from anxiety and social issues to Autism, ADHD, and more

Story

In 2024 I ran the Great North Run for Mind and in 2025 I ran it for Parkinson’s UK. This year, instead of another half marathon, I’m organising a 6-a-side charity football tournament on 20th June at Killingworth FC.

There’ll be four teams, everyone playing each other, followed by semi-finals and a final. A competitive day, but all for a good cause.

Supporting True Colours Theatre

This year I’m raising money for True Colours Theatre.

True Colours is an inclusive theatre company in the North East that provides performing arts opportunities for children and young people of all abilities.

Their mission is simple: to give every child a space to thrive without judgement or stigma, and to focus on strengths and potential rather than differences.

The charity means a lot to people close to me. One of my best mates works for the organisation and his mam founded it, so supporting this fundraiser feels like the right thing to do.

Why It Matters

The money raised will help True Colours continue running sessions, producing shows and keeping opportunities open to the young people and families who rely on them.

If you’re able to donate, thank you. It genuinely makes a difference. If not, sharing the page is just as appreciated.

Thanks for the support.
