On June 22nd I will be running my first ultra-marathon, a 55km trail and road run that starts in Woolwich and follows the Capital Ring footpath to Richmond.

Whilst I love running it's a perfect opportunity to raise much needed funds for The Link Primary School. The Link is a SEN School with the most amazing staff providing an unbelievably caring environment for children who need a little more support. They combine academic learning and therapy to lay the foundation for life for all the young people that attend.

It really is an incredible place, but as with all specialist schools they operate on very tight budgets.

Any funds that I raise will go towards the purchase of a new school mini-bus. The school will use the mini-bus to allow pupils to access experiences in the community. A trip to McDonalds, the community centre or a residential trip to develop independence are all activities that rely on safe and secure transport.
