Story
I am fundraising for our local charity based here in Cox Green, Maidenhead, Alexander Devine.
I was supposed to do this run in July at the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge but due to unforeseen circumstances of a car accident I was unable to. I decided once recovered I would do the 5k run on the hospice grounds in September. My brother had Leukaemia as a child and thankfully survived. He had great support around him but other children are not so lucky, so feel free to donate anything!
Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service provide specialist respite, palliative and end-of-life care to families across Berkshire and surrounding communities, where one or more of the children has a life-limiting or life-threatening condition.
The service operates in families' own homes, as well as from its own purpose built, "home-from-home" children's hospice in Maidenhead; the first and only children's hospice in Berkshire. The Day Care facilities, such as the Sensory Room and Creative Learning zone, opened in June 2018.
