The Page-Dunne girls are off high altitude trekking to raise funds for the fabulous OSCAR Foundation. For Jo and Lauren, it is our second trek together and now we are being joined by Amber and Millie. We have all been closely involved with OSCAR for several years and are proud to challenge ourselves and to turn personal endurance into lasting impact. As we push ourselves on this trek, we will be standing in solidarity with children from underprivileged communities in India who overcome immense daily challenges just to stay in school. We want to raise vital funds and awareness, showing OSCAR's girls and boys that their dreams matter.

Amber: "I spent a month volunteering for OSCAR in Mumbai in 2019, and I am so excited to visit briefly before we head north for the trek. My overriding memories are of the children involved with OSCAR; whether they were dancing, playing football, or learning English tenses from me (did you know there are 12?! I had to google it...) they always radiated pure joy. Ashok, the founder of OSCAR, and everyone else involved with bringing his vision to life are hugely inspirational to me and we are very lucky that we get to be even a small part of helping this amazing charity."

Those of you who know us individually - imagine 4 versions but each one more determined and strong-willed than the last... Add in sharing a tent, a lack of food & sleep, together with very basic toilet facilities; you then start to get a full sense of the challenge ahead.

The trip is entirely self-funded so ALL money raised goes to the OSCAR Foundation! Providing education, life skills, football, and support through OSCAR's programmes. It's not just a personal goal for us, but a way to support this truly incredible charity.
