Light Walk Challenge – Scafell Pike
On June 14, I and the team led by Release International CEO Paul Robinson will be taking a step out into the literal darkness.
Setting out at 1.00am on Sunday June 14, 2026, we will be carrying a large wooden cross to the top of England’s highest peak, Scafell Pike. Pausing to pray along the route, to identify with many persecuted Christians who can only meet together under the cover of darkness. Then, as dawn breaks, we will raise the cross on the summit – a powerful reminder of Christ’s victory over the darkness, the hope that strengthens our persecuted brothers and sisters.
We will be doing this symbolise our stand in solidarity.
Around the world, countless Christians face persecution simply because they follow Jesus. While many of us worship freely, others risk their safety, their freedom, and even their lives.
I’m taking on this challenge in support of Release International, an organisation that serves and strengthens persecuted believers across the globe.
The mountain will be steep.
The cross will be heavy.
The climb will test us physically and mentally.
But the weight many believers carry every day is far greater.
This challenge is a small act of identification - a reminder that faith isn’t just spoken, it’s lived. And sometimes it costs.
If you feel led, please we would need your support.
Every donation helps provide practical aid, encouragement, and hope to those standing firm under pressure.
Let’s shine light where there is darkness.
Let’s carry this together.
