Story
Shwmae pawb! Hi all!
This year I’ll be running the Ealing Half Marathon to raise money for Ysgol Gymraeg Llundain, the Welsh-medium school in Hanwell where my daughter goes to school.
For generations, the school has played an incredibly important role in the Welsh community in London, giving children the opportunity to be educated through the medium of Welsh while growing up hundreds of miles from Wales.
Being a Welsh school in London also brings its challenges. The school sits outside the usual state-school system and has always relied heavily on the support of parents, friends and the wider Welsh community to keep going and continue providing Welsh-medium education in the capital.
Now that my own daughter is lucky enough to be part of that community, I’d really like to do my bit to support its future.
So, on 27 September, I’ll be running 13.1 miles around Ealing to raise as much as I can for the school. 🏃♂️
If you’re able to donate anything at all, it would mean a huge amount. Every donation, however small, helps support the school and hopefully ensures that Welsh-medium education continues to have a home in London for generations to come. ❤️
Diolch yn fawr!
