Edinburgh Marathon 2026 · 24 May 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

Cyrenians' missions is to tackle the causes and consequences of homelessness through learning from lived experience; by delivering targeted services which focus on prevention, early intervention and support into a home; and by influencing changes in legislation and policy.

Story

This May, Surgeons Quarter will once again take part in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival to raise vital funds for Cyrenians. This marks the third year the organisation has participated in support of its charity partner, and each year the team has set its sights a little higher.

This year is no exception — Stewart Munro, Operations Manager at Surgeons Quarter, will be stepping up to run the Half Marathon, taking on an ambitious fundraising target of £1,000.

Cyrenians work tirelessly to tackle the causes and consequences of homelessness, providing early intervention and long‑term support that helps individuals build stability, gain confidence, develop new skills, and move forward within a supportive community.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps Cyrenians continue this vital work.

Let’s do this. 🏃‍♂️
