Fundraising Dinner to benefit SurvivorConnect at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh · 7 November 2023

The foundation exists to provide financial support for the hospital’s mission of improving the health and well-being of children, teenagers, and young adults through excellence in patient care, teaching, research, and advocacy.

Story

Survivors of childhood cancer require lifelong follow-up care for the screening, prevention, and treatment of late effects of their therapy.

The Survivorship program focuses on helping our survivors live life to the fullest extent while learning how to advocate for their medical needs. Our team includes our medical director, Dr. Jean M. Tersak, a nurse practitioner, a nurse coordinator, a research coordinator and the manager of our SurvivorConnect program.

We are raising funds and awareness because many of our services are not reimbursable or paid through insurance. We rely on philanthropy to support our educational, social and informational programs.

This dinner not only celebrates our survivors but will help us provide more programs and services for them.

We hope you will choose to join us at Alta Via Pizzaria as we Celebrate Survivorship!
