Susan's fundraiser for Brain Tumour Research

88 Squats a Day in July · 1 July 2025
On 30th July 2025, our beautiful Tay should be celebrating his 8th birthday but in February 2024 he tragically passed away after developing an aggressive brain tumour called medulloblastoma.
To celebrate his birthday, this July I am taking part in the Brain Tumour Research 88 Squats a Day Challenge to help raise vital funds for this amazing charity and remember the beautiful Taylan.
You can read Taylan's story below and I hope to raise £150 to go towards the £50,000 that a group of us called 'Tay's Tribe' are trying to raise as a team.
Tay's Story
Our beautiful, bright and sporty little boy who had so much love for his family and friends. He was always full of life, always so curious, and loved to make everyone laugh. Tay’s smile captured so many hearts and he was the best company to be around. He really had the
kindest soul. His love for nature and animals was beautiful to see. He had such a passion for wanting to make the world a better place. Any opportunity he got to be outdoors, he’d be there creating bug hotels and building dens. He was lego obsessed and also loved to collect all kinds of treasures. A little boy who loved life.
Devastatingly that all changed on 30th May 2023. Taylan was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour called medulloblastoma. Our lives were completely shattered. Taylan started to
show some really concerning symptoms only 9 days before he was diagnosed. He bravely underwent surgery and invasive treatments, heartbreakingly he lost his life 8 months later aged 6 years old.
