Our wonderful mum is facing an 18 week cycle of chemotherapy which will result in her losing her hair. Mums attitude? No way Cancer - No way!

She's taking control and taking her own hair before her treatment starts, and is raising much needed funds for well deserved charities in the process! After surgery to remove her original cancer and surrounding lymph nodes 5 years ago, she has been left with Lymphoedema which impacts her daily life.

Imagine being told you have an incurable medical condition that will affect how you look, the clothes you can wear, the job you do, how you feel about yourself and how others view you. Discomfort, swelling, fatigue, increased risk of infection and skin changes will be a part of your life for ever. None of your friends, family, or anyone else had ever heard of it and even your GP had very little idea how to treat it. Now imagine there was nowhere to go for support, information, advice, and guidance. The Lymphoedema Support Network has been supporting people living with lymphoedema for 32 years.

Our mum has spent her life helping other people and we would be very grateful if she could receive some help and support in return.
