Story
I’m Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for Walking With The Wounded.
In January 2026, I’ll be taking on one of the biggest challenges of my life: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. At 5,895 metres, it’s going to test my endurance, resilience, and determination but every step will be worth it.
I’m doing this for a charity I care deeply about: Walking With The Wounded (WWTW).
Having worked in the military charity sector for many years and having directly worked with WWTW delivering support services I’ve seen first-hand just how vital their work is. They empower veterans and those transitioning into civilian life by helping them access mental health support, employment opportunities, and the specialist care they deserve. Their work changes lives, rebuilds confidence, and gives people a path forward when they need it most.
I’m also climbing in memory of the members of my own family who proudly served but are no longer with us in particular my Grandad George ❤️. Their strength, commitment, and sacrifice inspire me every day, and this climb is a way to honour them too.
This challenge won’t be easy. There will be long days, high altitude, and moments where I’ll be pushed far outside my comfort zone but that struggle is nothing compared to the challenges some veterans face after during and after service. That’s why I’m asking for your support.
Your donation no matter the size will make a genuine difference.
Together, we can help Walking With the Wounded continue delivering vital services to those who need them.
Together, we can ensure veterans get the support, dignity, and opportunities they deserve.
And together, we can turn this climb into something truly meaningful.
Thank you so much for supporting me and supporting WWTW. It means more than I can say.
