I am honoured to have been awarded a place by WheelPower, to run the 2026 London Marathon.

I have enormous admiration for WheelPower's mission to provide opportunities for so many people to participate in so many different sports.

I spent my first 26 years in England before moving to the United States.

I ran the New York Marathon in 1980, and it seems only fitting to return home for my last.

The photo is from one of the times that I ran the Twin Cities Marathon. I am not sure which year, but my grandsons are now 14 and 16 and will be coming to cheer me on again in London!

Update April 26th.

It was an experience of a lifetime running the marathon in London with such fantastic crowds. Having my family supporting me in many locations was really great. Those boys have grown up as you can see!

I am so grateful to WheelPower for granting me one of their precious charity places.
