Could you make a splash for people affected by dementia? We're challenging you to swim 1, 5 or 10 miles in 30 days.

Story

World Alzheimer's Day 21st September 2023 is a global opportunity to raise awareness around, educate, encourage support of and demystify dementia.

The campaign theme for World Alzheimer's Month 2023 is 'Never too early never too late'. The 'Never too early, never too late' campaign aims to underscore the pivotal role of identifying risk factors and adopting proactive risk reduction measures to delay, and potentially even prevent, the onset of dementia.

I'm making a splash and taking on Swim for Dementia. I've not done a swimathon for a very long time now and need an excuse to get back in the pool at back up to fitness! I am aiming to swim 10 miles (644 lengths of 25m pool) in 30 days and I would like to raise £350, if not more with your help! My challenge starts today! (13.9.23)

Together we are help and hope for everyone living with dementia. Your donations will keep me going so please hit the Give Now button and donate what you can. Thank you!

900,000 people are currently living with dementia across the UK. One in three of us born in the UK today will develop dementia in our lifetimes. Its the biggest health and social care challenge we face.
