This year sees the 10th Santa Dash I have organised for WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR to be held on Sunday 7th December start time 10.30am.

This is the 10th consecutive year where we have been organising this lovely family dash. Even during Covid people did the Dash in their 'bubbles'. Nothing will stop this Santa Dash taking place.

Families get together for a walk around Daventry Country Park. It's less than 5km. We have runners take part, and so many friends, colleagues and neighbours from the surrounding community. It has become a real Christmas tradition and is a magical event, where we are all raising money to make wishes come true for children with life threatening illnesses and their families.

The wonderful Landlord at the Queen of Hearts, then lays on some hotdogs and chips for everyone that has taken part. It's a time to get together and have a cosy snug little drink and something to eat. We would like to say a massive THANKYOU to Peter Dunn from the Queen of Hearts for his continual support for this wonderful cause and the kind and caring people taking part.

It is £10 for adults to take part, and for that you will get a Santa suit, and £5 for children over age 2, and for that they will get an elf or santa hat to wear. New this year we have some Santa suits for children aged 8 upwards. If you would like this option it will be £10 to enter but you will get the suit. They look so cute. You can just turn up on the day, but it is so helpful if you could register on this justgiving page, with your name and number of adults and children / older children you are paying for. Then it will give me a better idea of how many suits etc to order.
