Hundreds of people are becoming homeless this winter. Every day, someone will be sleeping on the streets for the first time. Help me to make a difference and show love to those society and culture deem unlovable and often ignore or shame.

We live in a time where 'blame culture' is all and for those living on the streets, we assume that they must be to blame for not having a home. Yet with Brexit, lengthy asylum administration and spiraling cost of living, it's surprisingly easy for people to end up without a home.

I think this is my 8th year or maybe 9th of doing this! Why? Because I want to join with the Webber Street Day Centre team, Southwark, in showing that I care as well as showing people living on the streets that they matter, that they are seen and loved. That they are cherished souls who deserve clean, dry clothes, a hot meal, a chat, the opportunity to be creative, safe spaces to be free from fear and abuse, or to choose to explore faith, through Bible studies.

I'm not sure where I'm going to sleep out this year as I just recovering from several months of being unwell with vertigo and labyrinthitis. But I will be sleeping out somewhere, whether it's joining a group at Webber Street day centre or on my patio (again!) I need to wait and see what the temperature's like and take care of my ears from there...
