Susan/Mummy/Grandma will be celebrating her 80th birthay on August 12th 2022. Rather than a gift for her, she would like to invite you to donate to plant trees in the Forest of Hearts in Stratford-upon-Avon, near where she and Ian used to live.

The Forest of Hearts aims to care for the environment and improve wellbeing. They create edible gardens, plant trees, harvest fruit and provide opportunities for people experiencing social isolation, anxiety and loneliness to get out and feel good by doing something useful for the environment.

They are creating a five acre community green space near Stratford-upon-Avon to build biodiversity with new ponds, wildflower meadow, traditional orchard and spaces to relax and enjoy the countryside. Each tree sapling costs £10. Susan hopes to visit there this winter to help plant 'her' trees and to see them in their new home. You are warmly invited to join the trip too if you are free!
