Story
As a Trustee of CancerCare I see first hand the vital work they do supporting anyone affected by cancer or bereavement. So trekking the Sahara, in high temperatures, along with scorpions, snakes and spiders (!!) and climbing some of the highest sand dunes in the world is the least I can do in CancerCare's 40th year! I'm covering all costs myself so any funds raised go straight to the charity.
My challenge is to trek for four days through this ever-changing landscape and to climb to the top of the massive Chigaga Dunes, where I will witness the desert sunrise. The days will be hot and the trekking will be tough, but Team CancerCare, will help all team members conquer this mammoth desert! Vistas as far as the eye can see combined with the pleasure of having the volcanic Anti-Atlas Mountains as our backdrop. Thank you so much for your support!
