I'm taking part in the 2026 Wing Walk Challenge to support the work of Raystede, one of the most diverse rescue centres in the UK.

Raystede is a charity that aims to give animals a better life through rehoming, rehabilitation and sanctuary, and give people the support and knowledge they need to treat animals with care and respect. They care for up to 400 animals every day, including cats, horses, dogs, rabbits, hens and exotic birds.

We were lucky enough to be able to adopt our little man, our Billy Boy at 6 months old, he was called Pikachu at Raystede but we decided to rename him, he was originally thought to have come from a puppy farm and to say he was a challenge to start with is an understatement, he turned into such a lovely boy and was our world, he was extremely intelligent and so good, didn’t like going for a walk but would fetch a ball all day long, such a character in his own way, unfortunately he developed a heart condition and we lost him when he was nine and a half, to say we were heartbroken isn’t strong enough, we found life without a little furry friend wasn’t the same so we decided to adopt another dog from Raystede and they found us a 5 month old Cavapoo called Percy in need of his forever home so on the 26th of August 2025 we took our Percy home, he’s such a lovely boy and we feel he was sent by our Billy Boy to help us heal

I’m now doing this sponsored wing walk to raise as much money as possible to help Raystede carry on with the fantastic work they do, you really couldn’t ask for such great team as Raystede has, everyone there works so hard to do whatever they can to help give all animals the life they deserve, so please dig deep and spare whatever you can for this great cause
