Do you remember the first time a leader took a chance on you? When I was 13, I was given my first public speaking opportunity. Everyone around me encouraged me enthusiastically, I remember hearing the word ‘gifted’ frequently. I spent the rest of my teenage years speaking countless times to all kinds of audiences.

As grateful as I am for these opportunities, no one really stopped to ask me about my insecurities beneath it all. No one told me that it wasn’t my gifts that mattered most, but my character, vulnerability, and who Jesus says I am.

That’s why I’m taking on this challenge: a 24-mile circular route with 1,585m of ascent, across the three highest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales in under 12 hours!

All money raised will go to OneLife, a charity that is raising up a generation of leaders with integrity and courageous vulnerability. A charity that teaches young people the lessons I desperately needed!
