Susie's 100km over 2 days walk for Shropshire Cat Rescue

Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge 2024 · 18 May 2024 ·
I am raising funds for Shopshire Cat Rescue, it is a charity that is very close to my heart and has helped me in so many ways and helps so many cats.
I have started my page today as it marks 2 years since I returned from St Georges Hospital in London where I received amazing physio from Cameron through the FMD4Life Trial. Walking to the shops 5 minutes away was impossible without my trusty walker before spending the week receiving intensive physio. I still have to pinch myself sometimes to believe that 1 week totally transformed my life and gave me back my ability to go walking and take on awesome challenges like this.
Shropshire Cat Rescue also played a valuable part in my recovery so it is only right that I raise funds for this awesome charity.
This is a big challenge as it is very up and down and lots of training is being undertaken to be able to conquer the 100km over the 2 days. I will be walking around 50km each day.
Of course anyone that knows me will know that Little Dick who I purchased the week after Grandad passed away who was called Dick Dawson has been with me on all my training walks up the Wrekin and he gets photographed alot.
I am training hard doing double Wrekin walks when possible and getting out walking whenever I can. My double Wrekin will become triple Wrekin shortly to help build up the stamina and hill walking strength. I am cycling and using my trusty treadmill that aided my recovery too.
