As part of our commitment to our community and the planet, we’re using our paid volunteering day to take part in a sponsored beach clean. By supporting us, you’ll also be supporting Freedom4Girls and the incredible work they do through their Kenya Project.

We met the founder of the Kenya Project during one of our Carbon Literacy courses and were immediately moved by the impact of their work. Freedom4Girls supports girls and young people in Kenya by providing reusable period packs, menstrual health education, and opportunities for local single mothers to make the products themselves. Their work helps tackle period poverty with dignity, compassion and long-lasting change.

In Kenya, access to period products is still far from guaranteed, and Freedom4Girls says this can mean missed school days, lost confidence, and fewer opportunities for girls and young people. Through their Kenya Project, they have already made 20,000 reusable period packs and distributed them through schools and community groups, helping more young people manage their periods safely and stay in education.
