Story
In memory of Suz Robb
The staff at Ward 28 of the RAH cared for Suz with dignity and compassion. Suz made fast friends with them, sharing sweets, takeaways, dog treats and good laughs. It means so much that she was in a caring and comfortable environment.
From all the staff in the ward, to the surgeons and doctors, to the canteen staff and the district nurses, everyone has been amazing in taking care of Suz and her family and friends during her journey.
We would like to show our appreciation for everything they have done and help to raise funds for the ward to assist with other patients and families experiences.
Thank you all for everything
------
Ward 28 at the RAH has been designated as a dedicated Surgical Palliative Care Unit. The layout and infrastructure are not currently suitable as a hospice-style facility.
We want to significantly improve the experience for patients and their loved ones, with provision of private space for families and loved ones, and enhancement of the physical environment to improve privacy, dignity and comfort.
