Story
On Saturday, 6th August, 2022, a small team of brave individuals met at Sellack Village Hall to undertake a new bootcamp class. Amongst them was Amy, unsure of what to expect, but keen as mustard and a total powerhouse of positivity. Over the years, Amy became the backbone of that bootcamp, taking new comers under her wing, cheering the crew on, laughing at the sheer madness of it all …always the sunshine on a rainy day…always giving it everything she had.
Sadly, Amy lost her fight with Pancreatic cancer at the end of 2025, at the young age of 42. We miss her dearly. In her honour and to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK, the bootcamp crew are attempting to walk the Malvern 17 Hills Challenge (end to end… and back again!). Just over 20 miles of undulating terrain, in anywhere between 8 and 12 hours, taking in sunrise with an early start. It’s a challenge we know Amy would have relished, revisiting a place we hiked together as a team.
For Amy ♥️
We are Pancreatic Cancer UK.
We go above and beyond for everyone affected by this disease. Right now, half of people with pancreatic cancer die within three months of diagnosis. Families are left with only hope to hold onto. They need more. So, we do more.
We bring more breakthroughs through research, more change through campaigning, and more support through our expert nurses. We make more noise because people have gone unheard. We are relentless because the disease is ruthless. We care more because people feel forgotten.
