I am excited to be raising funds for the Smile Group, a vital organization that offers support to families experiencing perinatal mental health challenges. Founded by Ruth and Natalie in 2011, the Smile Group provides accessible and relatable services to families in need across Cheshire East. Perinatal Mental Health covers a broad range of emotional well-being challenges that can arise from conception to a child's second birthday, including anxiety, depression, birth trauma, obsessive compulsive disorder and difficulty in bonding. The Smile Group offers a range of services, including peer support groups, one-to-one visits, family sessions, counselling, and a virtual community, all tailored to individual needs.

To raise funds for this incredible organization, on the 2nd May I am embarking on a challenging hike with my friend Paula Wakefield. Over the course of the Coast to Coast Walk, we will hike almost 190 miles across the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, and North Yorkshire Moors, with a total ascent (and descent) of more than 29,000ft. This has required months of preparation, including mapping out an itinerary, planning and booking a range of accommodation, and learning self-navigation. I have also been physically training for the past four months to prepare for this challenge. Although this hike is out of my comfort zone, I am determined to push myself both physically and mentally to achieve something that I never thought possible. Any donation, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated, and I will do everything I can to ensure that we complete this challenge safely and successfully. Thank you for your support!
