Story
Hello my name is Henrietta and I am 10 years old. I have decided that I would like to do a squat challenge to raise money for the neonatal unit in conjunction with SaTH Charity. This consists of 100 squats a day for a whole month!
I am starting my challenge on the 20th February until the 20th of March. I'll be doing squats everyday, before breakfast, after school on a dog walk, at football training, before bed, wherever I can fit them in.
The money raised will pay for mini rubber ducks. These mini rubber ducks will be given to each baby to join them in their first bath on the neonatal unit. The date will then be written on the bottom and this will be a little keepsake for families.
I am also raising money for the craft activities for the 'parent group' which runs each week by the psychologist and occupational therapist (my mum). This group provides an opportunity for parents to talk about how they are feeling, take part in an activity and learn about how they can support their baby's sensory development. But most importantly it is an opportunity for parents to talk to other parents.
This is a few of the craft items on the wish list for the parent group:
Super Mini Rubber Duck Bath Duck Toys (lots)
Wind chimes
70mm wooden rings for crafts
Acrylic Paint Pens (100pc)
16 rolls of ribbon
Jute sack material
Rag strips
Letter beads
Key rings
Dried pressed flowers (140pc)
Jars
Tea lights
Tiny terracotta pots
Canvas 5x5 inches
Acrylic paint (8 tubes)
The list is a bit bigger than this, but it gives you an idea of the what the money will be used for. Please give what you can, every small contribution counts. Small things make a big difference on the neonatal unit!
Thank you,
Henrietta Ball
