On Sunday, 27th April 2025, I’ll be running the London Marathon (here we go again! 😅) to raise money for The Dog Meat Trade Dachshund Rescue & Support Group (DMT DRSG).

Why This Charity?

If you know me, you know I love dogs—especially dachshunds! Having a little sausage dog of my own, I can't imagine the suffering so many of them endure in places like China and South Korea, where thousands of dogs are caught up in the horrific dog meat trade.

Many poor pups are stolen from homes, taken from the streets, or bred in appalling conditions, only to be sold for consumption. They endure extreme cruelty—crammed into cages, denied food and water, and subjected to inhumane slaughter methods. While attitudes are changing, and progress is being made, this trade still exists, and these dogs need our help.

To make things worse, high-kill shelters in these countries euthanise stray and abandoned dogs if they aren’t quickly adopted, leaving them with little to no chance of survival.

What Does DMT DRSG Do?

DMT DRSG is a UK-based rescue charity dedicated to saving dachshunds from the dog meat trade, illegal breeding farms, and kill shelters. They work tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome these vulnerable dogs, ensuring they get the second chance they deserve in loving homes here in the UK.

How You Can Help?

I’m running this marathon to raise as much as possible for these poor pups. Every donation—big or small—will go directly towards rescuing, treating, and rehoming dachshunds in desperate need.
