In a world filled with social media, instant messages and 24/7 connection, it’s heart-breaking that so many older people still feel completely alone.

Loneliness and isolation are silent epidemics among our ageing population, robbing people not only of happiness, but of health, confidence and independence.

As more of us live longer, we have a shared responsibility to make sure that later life isn’t defined by loneliness, but by laughter, community and purpose. Every older person deserves to feel seen, valued and supported.

Regenerage’s mission is to work with and for older people, enriching their lives and supporting them to live well and independently for as long as possible. From wellbeing activities and social connection to practical help and companionship, Regenerage brings hope and humanity to those who need it most.

So as CEO of Regenerage, because this is a serious issue and I like a challenge, on Sunday 7th December I will be swopping my CEO hat for a Santa hat to have some festive fundraising fun with friends by taking part in the Liverpool Santa Dash.
