Story
Despite telling myself and anyone who would listen after I crossed the finish line that there was no way I’d ever run another marathon again, I’m back for another go. On 26 April 2026 I will be once again hauling my crumbling knees - and now dodgy Achilles! - round the London Marathon running in support of the brilliant Refuge.
Refuge do essential work. One woman in four will experience domestic abuse at some point in her lifetime and on average two women are killed each week in England and Wales by a current or former partner.
Refuge is the largest single provider of specialist services to survivors of domestic, sexual and gender-based abuse and runs the freephone, 24-hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline that provides the first step to women escaping abuse.
I know times are tight, but I’d be so grateful for any support you can give. It all gets well spent and makes a difference to so many.
Thanks so much x
