Story
Thank you for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support.
This will be my 6th time doing the Oxford Half Marathon, but the first time raising funds for the BHF as a member of the Heart of Oxford Business Board, so I’m aiming for a PB!
Back in 2010 I successfully underwent open heart surgery at Papworth Hospital to repair my mitral valve following contracting endocarditis in 2009.
Since then I have been raising funds for BHF, including running the London Marathon in 2020 and 2021.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thank you!
