Story
I received a lifesaving kidney transplant 15 months ago. This is my first time with TSNI & I really hope to take part in the Transplant Games later this year!
TSNI gives me the encouragement to keep fit & healthy for my ‘wee kidney’ to give it the best chance.
Without the ‘wee kidney’ I would not be here to tell my story. Onwards and upwards !
I hope this is the first of many….

On Sunday 5th May we will have a number of Transplant Sport Northern Ireland members covering the 26.2 miles of the marathon run and walk routes raising money for our sporting trips this coming year.
Transplant Sport Northern Ireland aims to encourage and support transplant recipients in keeping fit and active post transplant. We currently have kidney, liver, heart, bone marrow and stem cell recipients amongst our members, as well as a number of living donors.
This year we will have a team attending the British Transplant Games in Nottingham taking part in a 4 day multi-sport event this August and our football squad are also heading to Italy for the inaugural World Transplant Games Football World Cup in September.
All monies raised from the marathon will help us support our transplant athletes in getting to the start line at these events.
