Story
Four people. One caterpillar. One very special cause. 🐛💗
This year has been a challenging year for me. In January, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had surgery in February, followed by radiotherapy in May. Thankfully, I’m doing well and cancer free, but I’m still on a journey of recovery — physically, mentally and emotionally.
So, what better way to mark that journey than by running 10 miles… joined to three other people as a giant caterpillar?! 🐛
Having entered The Great South Run last October as soon as entries opened, it soon became a strong focus to get back to running after treatment. And it's fitting to use the event to raise money for Breast Cancer Now, a charity that supports people affected by breast cancer and funds vital research into the disease.
I’ve been incredibly lucky to have some wonderful people around me this year and I am grateful for all of the love and support I’ve had along the way.
If you’re able to donate to Breast Cancer Now, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every donation, however big or small, will help support people going through what I’ve been through and help fund research that could make a difference to so many lives in the future.
Thank you for supporting me, and the Breast Cancer Now charity!💗🐛
Please come and join in the fun and support me in person on the day too! I'll be the one in the caterpillar costume!
