Story
As long time supporters of The Women's Centre Cornwall we know how vital their services are in supporting women and girls living with the impact of domestic and sexual abuse in the South West.
We would love to inspire women with a connection to Cornwall to share the story of The Women’s Centre by hosting a coffee morning for their friends, family and networks, raising money to support women who have experienced abuse.
Please donate to this wonderful cause and consider hosting a coffee morning.
The Women's Centre's 30th Anniversary Appeal is aimed at raising money for the organisation's latest project:
Connecting Women Through Community Activities and Transport
Supportive, community activities, and a new transport service for women and girls across Cornwall who are living with the impact of domestic and sexual abuse.
This will include a series of group activities that create a sense of belonging, enabling women and girls to expand their support networks. It will also provide a volunteer run women’s transport scheme, using skilled, caring trauma-informed women volunteers provide lifts where needed so that women can access support and activities. This service is so important to help women and girls to reduce isolation and misplaced shame associated with abuse, and to build confidence and wellbeing.
