I am attempting a Last Man Standing Backyard Ultra Marathon in aid of Northlands Addiction Treatment Centre in Derry, Northern Ireland.

Northlands offers life-saving support to those battling addiction.

Funding for Northlands has been cut therefore a lifeline for many families in Derry is at risk.

The challenge:

4.2miles every hour on the hour for 24hrs or until only one remains.

I honestly don’t know how far I will get, this is a big (mad) challenge but the motto “go one more” will be strong within me. A motto I believe those struggling with addiction can use to go 1minute, 1hour, into days and weeks and building until they are addiction free. The strength of the mind is a powerful thing.

I only decided to do this challenge a few weeks ago but I promise I will give it my all.
