Riding the fastest Zipwire in the UK · 24 July 2023
In 2020, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. After six months of intense chemotherapy, I was put into remission. Unfortunately, I relapsed after only three months and had to have the mother of all chemo followed by a stem cell transplant. I owe my life to the research, donations and support from others. It has been a very humbling time and now I’m going dedicated my efforts so that others can be supported and given hope too.
So I’m tackling the fastest zip wire in the world!!!!!! Heights are not my thing and I shall be screaming ALL the way. It’s the least I can do if it means others have a chance of beating this disease.
Thank you, Suzy x
September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month and whether you’ve recently been diagnosed, are living with lymphoma, or have a loved one who has been affected, you can count on us to support you and your family or friends from diagnosis, through treatment, and beyond.
Despite being the UK’s 5th most common cancer and the most common blood cancer, we know that many people don’t know about lymphoma symptoms and the support available. Taking part in our very special Zip Challenge event this September will help us to raise awareness as well as vital funds so that we can help more people, sooner.
